Steps

Let's set up a Facebook Group! In this "How To", we will set up a facebook group and fine tune the settings.

1. Navigate to link

2. Click Grid icon (upper top right)

3. Click on "Groups"

4. Click on "Create new group"

5. Enter Your Group name

After naming your group Choose The Privacy and Visability Settings:

6. Click on "Choose privacy" and select "Public" or "Private"

After selecting your privacy settings: Choose Visability Settings:

7. After Privacy selection, Click on "Create"

8. After Privacy selection, Click on "Create"

9. Click on "Group settings"

10. Click "Name and description" pencil to edit

11. Type in the description of your group and Click on "Save" (you can always change the description later)

12. Click the "Web address" pencil

13. Let's create a custom URL for yur group. Enter your name to see if it's available. (if you see a green check mark, you are good to go!) Click on "Save"

14. Your New "Web address" will be seen here!

Lets Set The Manage Membership Section:

15. Lets Set Manage Membership: Make sure "who can join the group" is set to "Only profiles"

16. Click here

17. Click on "Who can approve member requests"

18. Click on "Cancel"

24. Click on "Nobody"

25. Click on "Nobody"

26. Click the Ananymous posting pencil icon

27. Anonymous Post - Be sure to slide this off - Click on "Save"

28. Click on "Add new"

29. Click on "Guides"

30. Click this icon

Facebook | How to Create a Facebook Group

Groups are a place to connect, learn and share with people who have similar interests.

Let's set up a Facebook Group! In this "How To", we will set up a facebook group and fine tune the settings.

Navigate to https://www.facebook.com/

Click Grid icon (upper top right)

Click on "Groups"

Click on "Create new group"

Enter Your Group name

After naming your group Choose The Privacy and Visability Settings:

Public: anyone on or off Facebook can see who's in the group and what they post. Private: only members can see who's in the group and what they post.

Click on "Choose privacy" and select "Public" or "Private"

After selecting your privacy settings: Choose Visability Settings:

Visible: Anyone can find the group in search and other places on Facebook. Hidden: Only members (current, invited and former) can find the group in search and other places on Facebook.

After Privacy selection, Click on "Create"

Click on "Group settings"

Click "Name and description" pencil to edit

Type in the description of your group and Click on "Save" (you can always change the description later)

Click the "Web address" pencil
